The Curriculum Framework of the Board of Higher Secondary Education Delhi provides the academic structure, learning objectives and assessment methodology for Secondary and Higher Secondary education.

Objectives

▪️To promote conceptual understanding and practical knowledge
▪️To develop analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
▪️To encourage values, discipline and responsible citizenship
▪️To prepare students for higher education and professional pathways

Structure

The curriculum is designed in two stages:

▪️Secondary Level (Class X)
▪️Higher Secondary Level (Class XII)

Each stage includes:

▪️Core subjects
▪️Elective subjects
▪️Language subjects
▪️Practical and project components (where applicable)

Medium of Instruction

The medium of instruction shall be English and Hindi unless otherwise specified.

Assessment Pattern

▪️Continuous Internal Assessment
▪️Term-End Examinations
▪️Practical / Project Evaluation

The Board reserves the right to revise the curriculum periodically.
